Catharine Murphy — Catharine is a “Texas girl” and has always loved the outdoors and being around horses. She started riding at an early age and now competes in national team penning and ranch sorting competitions and play days. With Catharine’s organizing skills and attention to detail she can put together some great events. Nicole Cannon — Although Nicole grew up as a Tennessee Volunteer, she has made the Texas Hill Country her home since 1995. When not shuttling her six-year-old daughter to various events, she can be found on one of her two trusty horses. Nicole has competed in competitive trail challenges and also is working with cutting horses. Having worked in the travel industry for fifteen years, Nicole is an expert event planner. Jason Borchardt – Jason grew up in Brenham, Texas, and has been riding horses all of his life. Jason currently trains and shows cutting horses, but has competed in other western disciplines. Previously, Jason was in the newspaper business, but his heart was always with ranching. Jason’s family owns the Franklin Family Ranch and he is the ranch manager. Kathy Slack — Kathy has been riding since childhood and teaches group and private lessons at her two equestrian facilities: Bee Cave Riding Center and Signal Hill Ranch. Her skillful teaching style led her three daughters to successful competitions in regional, state, and national championships. She is also an avid competitor, winning events in Western pleasure, team penning, barrel racing, reigning, and pole bending. Kathy is a former burn and trauma nurse and holds a degree in Nursing from the University of Michigan. |
